I grew up in a small town in rural Georgia, where I learned the two things that still guide every part of my business today: treat people with respect, and always do more than what’s expected of you. Baseball taught me discipline. Small-town life taught me humility. But neither taught me much about building wealth — so I made that my mission.

After playing college baseball at Middle Georgia State University, I transferred to the University of Georgia, where everything accelerated. I launched my first business, earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, met my wife, and stepped into the world of entrepreneurship and financial leadership.

Since then, I’ve worked with founders across dozens of industries — from fast-growing service businesses to multi-million-dollar companies, helping them create profitable, predictable, scalable financial systems. Before starting Powell Finance Group, I began my career with The Savannah Bananas, where I learned firsthand how much the right team, the right culture, and the right systems matter.

What I’ve realized over the years is this:

Most business owners aren’t struggling because the business is broken.
They’re struggling because the financial system behind it is.

That’s where I thrive.

I’m obsessed with numbers — but not for the sake of spreadsheets. I care about the story behind the numbers, the clarity they provide, and the confidence they unlock for owners who want to make better decisions without second-guessing themselves.

I understand what it takes to build something from scratch, carry the pressure, and protect the people depending on you. I’ve lived it. And that’s why helping business owners isn’t “consulting” to me — it’s personal. Every client is another family working toward a better future, and I get a front-row seat to help them grow, win, struggle, and ultimately succeed.
